THE 5 SIMPLE TIPS TO GETTING YOUR DREAM HAIR.

May 10, 2014

I’ll have this hair thank you!

1. Choose the right shampoo and conditioner.

The first basic step. I have previously covered the difference between salon and supermarket shampoos here. You will generally notice the difference in the quality of your hair within the first couple of shampoos. If you don’t like how your hair feels afterwards most professional salons will swap them over for a different shampoo, providing you haven’t used half the bottles.

2. Towel-dry your hair before you apply your conditioner.

This simple tip makes a huge difference to your hair. It usually takes 2-3 months to see the difference but when you do you will never go back. The reason for towel drying first is when the hair is soaking wet, the conditioner will just slide off. When you towel dry the hair first the cuticle remains open for the conditioner but is not overly saturated by the water. Thus your hair absorbs the conditioner and your hair quality improves.

 3. Use a conditioning treatment once a week. Covered here *

 4. Use the right protection for your hair before you go out/ blowdry/ straighten your hair.

The simplicity of using a liss cream/ a heat protect serum/ a thermal activated iron protect will protect your hair from the external and electrical elements.

 5. Get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks.

The last and equally as important tip. By week 5 your hair is already starting to split at the ends, by week six there is enough to trim. Whether you want to grow your hair or just keep it in great condition, trimming it every six weeks stop the split ends from shooting back up the hair shaft and with the above tips combined will get you the hair you have always dreamed of
