Dealing With Your Hair In Humidity

Isn't summer over yet??

Hi and welcome to our new page dedicated to giving you the best in hair advice and how to get the most from your hairstyle. Ideally we want you to be able to achieve the look of in salon~hair but in your own home.

Although we are now sadly leaving Summer behind, we can only hope that we are leaving behind one of the biggest problems my clients talk about when it comes to home haircare, dealing with humidity!!

Despite summer coming to an end, Sydney weather can still incorporate a lot of moisture in the air so I’ve got some great tips for combating the last of the humidity:

Suggestion 1

  • Blowdrying hair straight: At the end of the blowdry, divide your hair into four large sections and spray in a light mist of hairspray* to each section. Then smooth over each section with the hairdryer and brush**. Alternatively if finishing the hair with a straightening irons divide the hair into sections again but this time use a thermal activated spray like L’Oreal Professionnel’s Constructor, this will not only give longevity to your hairstyle but it will also protect your hair from the heat of the irons.

Suggestion 2

Blowdrying hair with waves: If drying your hair with a hairdryer we strongly recommend spraying in a memory spray* to hold and seal in the curls. If using irons or a curling wand, divide the hair into sections and spray in a thermal activated spray like L’Oreal Professionnel’s Constructor for protection from heat and longevity of the curls.
